The ZOE COVID Study app is a not-for-profit initiative that was launched at the end of March 2020 to support vital COVID-19 research. The app was launched by health science company ZOE with scientific analysis provided by King’s College London. With over 4.7 million contributors globally, the Study is the world’s largest ongoing study of COVID-19 and is led by ZOE Co-Founder, Tim Spector.
Design & Build as part of ZOE team
The project received support from the UK Department of Health & UK government. It is endorsed by NHS Wales and NHS Scotland. The app was later extended to cover US and Sweden territories. All data is analysed by a joint team from ZOE and King’s College London.
Sole product designer, working with a team of engineers, scientists, doctors and stakeholders. Responsible for end-to-end product design, interface design, identity design & art direction.
Covid Symptoms Study app was nominated for various awards. Some of these include Data IQ 'Best use of Data for Not-for-Profit', UK Business Tech 'Tech for Good', The Drum Award 'Best Pivot Initiative', Chartered Institute of PR 'Best COVID Response', The Medical Journalists' Award for 'Excellence in PR', YouTube Silver Creator’s Award.
